Jerusalem

2012 | Chrome and Tin | 500 x 500 x 500 mm

The old city of Jerusalem is a melting pot of religions, cultures, histories, languages and philosophies all wanting more.   All asking for salvation from a collection of divergent Gods that lay claim to this place.  The almost polytheist reality in the old city is ironic given that it's the heart of monotheism.  It is hard to convey how interwoven the lives are of the holy humans in this ancient walled city. To feel the force, you need to sample it against your own personal spiritual palette.

This sculpture was made after a late night bicycle tour through the old city.
